I've been into steampunk for some time, but it has been only in the last two years that I've started dragging my friends along to dress up and participate in the steampunk goodness that comes with the genre.
Our latest exploit is gathering a group together to combine two of our favorite things: Steampunk and Star Trek. Instead of the typical airship pirate routine we figured to delve in and re-imagine a steampunk/star trek universe where the Federation is really a giant monopoly made up of tons of different departments and branches, 19th century bureaucracy at it's finest, if you will.
If you'll bear with me I also had to design everything that would go with this. Starting with the logos.
First off, the Conglomeration of Global Syndicates (COGS) logo. The alternate version of the Federation.

Next up, the KUGGE(Killing and Uprooting Godawful Game from the Environment) division. Just one of the thousands of divisions and departments of COGS.

This whole project originally started with the idea of fur trappers in a steampunk star trek universe, and if are going to look for fur we decided to go with the scourge of the universe: tribbles. So that brings me to what our little group is:
Then the insignia for the ship. We were happy to discover that people have documented complete lists of all Star Trek ships and their classes, and even more surprised that there was a cargo ship referred to SteamRunner class.
